Bad Moon Rising - Chapter 1
Sharp heels clack on the damp pavement, the sound causing heads to turn and people to stare. Men gape, quickly losing interest in their previous topic of conversation in favour of watching the woman stride through the easily parting crowd, like a hot knife through butter. The partners of the “Neanderthals” they reluctantly call men roll their eyes and cross their arms, hips cocked to the side – which is commonly known as the stereotypical pose of an angry girlfriend – whilst muttering in a frustrated tone about how easily men are distracted by someone who’s obviously nothing more than a pretty face.

Sirens.
That's all you could hear.
The only sound that bounced off the walls were the loud shriek of sirens. Your eyes darted left and right, trying to think of what could be causing the noise. Slowly you got out of bed, your feet meeting the cold hardwood floor of your bedroom. A slight shiver ran down your body for unknown reason. Your hands clutched the side of the bed, your head hung low as you gulped, listening to the sound of sirens. Pushing yourself off the bed, you made your way towards the blinds. A part of you didn't want to look outside the window.
Living in Gotham City was hard sometimes. Almost everyday something tragic had ma

You breathed in a small gulp of air, cringing at how tight your chest was. If anything, it felt like you had suddenly developed asthma (you knew you hadn’t, though). You blinked your eyes quickly, adapting to the light of the place you were in- which you realized was the Milano.
You lifted your head from the pillow you had rested on. Looking around, you processed that you were once again in Peter’s bunk. Déjà vu much? You looked to your right to see that Peter had been sitting crisscross-applesauce next to the bed; you chuckled lightly at the awkward position he

Upon touching down on Hala, you noticed several odd things.
First of all, the planet was anything but deserted. An entire city surrounded the Milano. Second, the atmosphere was quite different. That was justifiable, however, given that the planet was in a dwarf galaxy that orbited the Milky Way. Third, it appeared that Nova Prime had sent you to a military base; you were unsure of whether this was a good thing or a bad thing. And lastly, Peter seemed anxious.
Even when he had appeared nervous before, you never saw him this fidgety and it worried you. You thought it could

what....what is that sound?
What IS that sound....
You groaned, lifting you head off your pillow to gaze into the darkness of your room. Your bedroom door was cracked and light was seeping out from the hallway and creeping across the floor. Whatever that sound was it was coming from the livingroom.
You already had a pretty good idea of who was in the livingroom so you laid your head back down, fluttering your eyes close.
You tried to sleep, you really did, but the sounds coming from the hallway were way too distracting. "What is he doing?" You mumbled to yourself, pushing off the bed and wrapping the covers around your shoulders as you shu

You watched with curiosity as the new inmates walked further into the heart of the Kyln prison. Among them, a man (who appeared human), a tree-like humanoid, a raccoon, and Gamora. Everyone knew Gamora.
The raccoon interested you.
It was rare for anything non-human-like in nature to end up in a place like this. You wondered silently what it could have done to end up here.
The group walked forward, looking around as insults were shouted at Gamora. The man leaned in and whispered something to the

Tony kept questioning you and you felt your head ready to explode as you closed your eyes and carefully rubbed your forehead. The buzzing in your brain got louder and louder, reaching a lever where every sound surrounding you was muffled by it.
Even the crack on the ground went unnoticed by you, it slowly widened and Steve was probably the first one to see it and was about to point it out to the rest of the group when he finally saw your face, he immediately knew you were doing it.
You felt a hand softly squeezing your shoulder, snapping you out of the daze and making you eyes flutter open. Steve gave you a warily look.
"Are you alright?"

You had drawn the short straw. Yours was not a sigh of relief but a groan of resignation. You left the antechamber to see Queen Frigga and learn of your duties regarding Loki. She had insisted that he not be forced into solitary confinement any longer, and would be allowed the company of another while serving his penalty. He was no longer in the common cells, but in another section of the dungeon floor which was meant to house nobility during unsettled times. Without the ability to come and go as he pleased, however, for Loki, it was still prison.
"My Queen," you said as you entered her chamber and curtsied.
"Do come in." She smiled and mot
